For a long period of time, researches have been conducted to produce this material synthetically from the natural rubber, then, the Polyisoprene, which shows similar properties to natural rubber, was produced. This type of rubber is suitable for general usage.

Properties:
Provides good resistance against tearing.
Provides good elasticity.
Low swelling in water.
Compared with NR, it emits lower amount of odor.
Provides less adhesive properties than NR.

Areas of Usage:
60% of IR usage is within the tire industry.
Apart from that, it is used in the production of motor blocks, shoe soles, rubber robes and golf balls.

Operating Temperatures:
Long term: -40 C° + 120 C°
Short term: -45 C° + 140 C°
